Silver-tongued boxer, Muhammad Ali, has finally succumbed to death after a long battle, precisely 32 years, with Parkinson’s disease.
Ali breathed his last on Friday, June 3, 2016, after he was rushed to the hospital, where he was later placed on a life support machine.
The self-professed ‘the greatest’ boxer was admitted at a Phoenix hospital after suffering from respiratory complications. He died at 74.
His family is planning a funeral service for him in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He began his boxing career at 12 and won a gold medal at the 1960 Olympics in Rome, Italy, as a light heavyweight.
Shortly after, Ali turned professional and then relocated to Miami to train with the legendary trainer, Angelo Dundee.
