Husband of the Christian trader killed by a mob in Kano State for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed has met with the state governor, Umar Ganduje.
Ganduje received Pastor Mike Agbahime, husband of Bridget Agbahime, the woman beheaded by Muslim youths in the state.
Also with Pastor Mike were the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN; in Kano as well as leader of the Igbos of Kano.
The governor condemned the action of the mob and condoled the husband stressing that “the killing of his 74 year old wife is illegal, unjustifiable and [that] she is without fault.”
Ganduje disclosed to the gathering that a prime suspect identified as Alhaji Daudu has already been arrested.
The deceased was a member of Deeper Life Bible Church in Kano. She was murdered at Kofar Wambai market on Thursday, June 2, 2016.
