The Nigerian government might have to deal with more groups in the Niger Delta following the floating of a new one called the Ultimate Warriors of Niger Delta.
This new cabal has threatened to continue to attack oil and gas facilities across the Niger Delta region unless the Nigerian government agreed to award 60 per cent oil blocs to people from the zone.
The Ultimate Warriors of Niger Delta said the Federal Government has only two weeks to meet its demands or be ready for more attacks in the Niger Delta region of the country.
According to the new group, the government must allow the $16 billion Export Processing Zone otherwise called Delta Gas City project begin operations in earnest.
Spokesperson of the group, Sibiri Taiowoh, further asked for commencement of academic activities at Federal Maritime University established during the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The group claimed that it is behind the recent pipeline bombing in the Niger Delta region and vowed never to stop until the EPZ project and the Maritime University are totally completed and start operations.
