An explosion has been reported to have occurred at Sanomi Creek, in the Ogidigben area of Warri South West in Delta State.
According to Reuters, the blast affected a pipeline operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC.
Reuters said a security official and a community leader disclosed to it on Friday that the pipeline exploded around 8pm on Thursday.
NPDC is a subsidiary of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.
However, no group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
