While Nigerians and the world football are still mourning the passing away of former Super Eagles captain and coach, Stephen Keshi, another ex-coach of the team, Amodu Shuaibu, has been confirmed dead.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, on its official Twitter handle on Saturday morning, Amodu breathed his last while in his sleep.
Amodu, who until his death was the technical director of the NFF, was said to have died on Friday night after he complained of chest pains before going to sleep.
It would be recalled that Amodu and Keshi worked together as Nigeria’s head coach and assistant coach respectively at the 2002 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Mali.
Keshi died on Wednesday in Benin City, Edo State.
Amodu passed away at the age of 58, while Keshi at 54.
