No fewer than 18 persons were reportedly killed by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents on Thursday night in Kuda-Kaya village of Madagali, Adamawa State.
A local police authority was said to have disclosed this information on Friday to Xinhua.
It was said that the incident took place precisely around 10pm on Thursday.
Xinhua said spokesperson the police in Adamawa State, Othman Abubakar, confirmed the incident and added that arrest has already been made.
He disclosed that a Boko Haram suspect was apprehended by the Police in Gombi area of the state, saying that, “we are still investigating the suspect to ascertain whether he is among the wanted Boko Haram leaders.”
