2018 W’Cup Q’fies: Nigeria In Group Of Death

Nigeria have been drawn alongside three other heavyweights countries in African football to battle for the sole ticket in Group B for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The Super Eagles will have to struggle for the ticket with Zambia, Algeria and their bitter West African rivals, Cameroon from October 2016.

At the draws held in Cairo on Friday, June 24, 2016, Nigeria were placed on Pot 2 and got Algeria from Pot 1, Cameroon from Pot 3 and Zambia from Pot 4.

The five group winners will qualify for the World Cup.

In other groups, Group A consists of Tunisia, Libya, DR Congo and Guinea; Group C has Cote d’Ivoire, Morocco, Mali and Gabon; Group D has Senegal South Africa, Burkina Faso and Vape Verde; while Group E comprises Ghana, Egypt, Congo and Uganda.
