An ally of former Minister of Aviation, Diezani Alison-Madueke, Jide Omokore, has been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Omokore was brought before the court on Monday, July 4, 2016, on charges bordering on money laundering.
Also arraigned by the EFCC was the former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Andrew Yakubu.
Omokore, who is the chairman of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concept Limited, and Yakubu were charged before Binta Murtala-Nyako at the Federal High Court Abuja on four-count of money laundering.
The EFCC listed other individuals and firms charged alongside Omokore and Yakubu as Victor Briggs, Abiye Membere, David Mbanefo, Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling
Concepts Limited.
