Former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, has been granted the permission to travel abroad for medical attention.
Okahim was given the nod on Monday by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
The former governor is standing trial on corruption and money laundering charges and had applied for permission from the court to travel abroad for medical treatment.
Delivery the judgment, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba said Ohakim has the court’s approval to go abroad for treatment and he is expected to return his passport to the registrar of the court not later than 48 hours upon his return in August 2016.
