A top traditional ruler in Plateau State has been murdered by some gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
It was gathered that the monarch in the Ron/Kulere tribe of Bokkos LGA in Plateau State, Sir Lazarus Agai, was killed on Monday evening on his way from his farm at Sha village in Bokkos.
He was said to have been ambushed by his attackers and killed. Also murdered alongside the traditional ruler were his driver and bodyguards.
The murder of the monarch was confirmed by the lawmaker representing Bokkos Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Sunday Muchen as well as the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tyopev Terna, who said investigation has commenced.
