Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, has instructed her lawyers to file a suit against the governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.
Last month, the governor claimed Aisha Buhari was the person implicated in the Halliburton corruption scandal, but the President’s wife denied being the one.
She thereafter demanded an apology from Fayose or be ready for a lawsuit.
However, the Ekiti State governor maintained his stand that the President’s wife was the woman involved the bribery case involving a convicted former US lawmaker, Williams Jefferson.
Apparently seeing that the governor was not ready to shift ground or agree to her demand, the President’s wife instructed her lawyers to sue Fayose.
Premium Times reports that it exclusively obtained the court summons dated July 20, 2016 on the legal action against the governor.
At the moment, Fayose is armed with an immunity against any legal action until he leaves office as governor of Ekiti State.
