Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has been nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari for the chairmanship position of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Also, the President forwarded the name of Nsima Ekere to the Senate to be considered as Managing Director of the Commission.
At the moment, former Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, is occupying the position of MD of NDCC in an acting capacity.
Ndoma-Egba and Ekere will have to be confirmed by the Senate.
Already, a letter has been sent to the Senate President requesting the confirmation of the two nominees. They are expected to be screened by the lawmakers.
