For those in the know, the animosity between star Yoruba actresses, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe and Alao, was not just a rumour.
For some years, both movie stars avoided each other like a plague. In fact, those who were very observant, Lola and Bisi never greeted each other at public places and efforts by concerned colleagues to settle the rift between them failed.
However, all is now well between the two personalities in the Yoruba movie industry.
At the moment, they have both overlooked the past and are back together as friends, supporting each other when the need arises.
This was also demonstrated recently when Bisi, fondly called Bisi Omo logbalogba, attended the burial ceremony of Lola’s father, Pa Lasisi Alao, which was held at the Lekki Colliseum, Lekki, Lagos.
Those who saw Bisi at the event expressed shock, but were on the other hand glad that Lola and Bisi have buried their difference. Bisi was among those who even bought the aso ebi for the burial ceremony to show that she is no longer at war with Lola.
But what remains as fear is the sustainability of the presence peace between the two popular and talented actresses.
