A nine-year-old boy has been set free by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Ogun State.
The boy, named Taiwo Korede, was allegedly chained by the pastor at Celestial Church of Christ key of Joy Parish Ajiwo at Ota, Ogun State.
According to what we gathered, the boy was accused of being possessed by an evil spirit by his parents and was then reportedly taken to the church for deliverance, where he was chained down with a padlock for weeks by the church.
It was learnt that officials of the NSCDC swung into action after a tip off.
The operatives of the civil defence stormed the church on Friday, July 22, 2016, at about 10:30am and rescued him.
Meanwhile, the matter has since been transferred to the appropriate authority for further investigation.
