A Bayelsa State-based man on Thursday broke a Guinness book of world record when he walked with a football place on his head for hours.
The record breaker, identified as Tonye Solomon aka D Boy, 28, walked ‘The Greatest Distance Travelled With the Football Balanced On The head”.
He started his journey from Amassoma town en-route Tombia town, Agudama-epie with the finish line at peace Park, Yenagoa, Bayalsa State. Tonye Solomon travelled a distance of about 52km with the ball on his head.
Last month, his attempt to break the record was frustrated by a downpour after only completing 38 kilometres.
He was supervised by FIFA badged referees.
The current title holder is also a Nigerian Chinedu Harrison who dethroned the former champion Indian soldier Naib Singh when he walked a distance of 48.04km in six hours, 15 minutes.
