The second edition of Ijesa Day, a celebration of the diverse cultures of Ijesaland holding in Lagos State on Sunday, September 18, 2016, will have top personalities from all works of life in attendance.
Ijesa Day, a celebration which has turned a reference point since it commenced in 2015, will hold at Anchor Event Centre located at 1 Registration Close, off Lateef Jakande Road, Ikeja.
Some of the big names expected at the event include HRM Oba (Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Ademolaran, the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland; Osun State Governor, Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola; Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode; and Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Folorunsho Adewole.
Others are Sir Demola Aladekomo, Princess Toyin Kolade, Prince Ade Fadahunsi, Erelu Olusola Obada, Chief (Mrs) Remi Olowu, Chief Olu Falomo, Lefosan of Ilesa to mention a few.
Some of the highpoint of the celebration include the launch of the proposed Ijesa Youth Development Foundation Complex, a facility that will boast of a Lawn Tennis Court, Table Tennis, Swimming Pool, Library, Computer Centre and more.
Entertainment at the event will be supplied by Saint Janet, Femi Lancaster among others, while Ereke Ni Shop, Dr Dipo Folorunsho and Baba Ijesa will anchor it.
