The Council of State has ratified the appointment of Ibrahim Idris as the new Inspector General of Police.
Idris’ appointment was confirmed on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 when the council met in Abuja for its second meeting under the present administration.
The police chief had been working as IG under an acting capacity.
