The National President of Nasirul-Lahi-Fathi Society NASFAT, Engr. Yomi Kamil Bolarinwa, has urged Muslims in the country to use their Knowledge to foster unity among the Ummah and strengthen the propagation of the Deen.
Engr. Yomi Bolarinwa made the call on Thursday while addressing participants at the maiden edition of Professional media skills workshop holding at the Fountain University Osogbo.
The NASFAT president, who was represented by the National Publicity Secretary, Banji Busari implored participants at the workshop to take good advantage of the training to promote the teachings and ethics of Islam with the onerous intention of propagating the Religion.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Vice Chancellor of the Fountain University Osogbo, Prof. Bashir Ademola Raji who was represented by the Dean of College of Management and Social Sciences (COMAS) Prof AbduLateef Usman said the workshop is organized by the school to help the Muslim Ummah in Dawah presentation and media propagation of Islam.
The 5-Day workshop which was organized by the Mass Communications Department of the Fountain University Osogbo has in attendance Publicity Secretaries, Public Relations Officers, Missionaries of NASFAT, Media Practitioners as well as representatives from different Islamic Organizations across Nigeria.
The Workshop Convener, Dr Ridwan Adeyemi, who is the Head of Mass Communication Department of the Fountain University Osogbo said the time is ripe for Muslims all over the country to form a common front in propagating Islam. The theme of the 5-Day workshop is “Diffusing Professional Media Skills to Strengthen the Deen.”
