Nigerian model, Sarah Jegede, was crowned Miss Africa Great Britain 2016 at the weekend.
The Graduate of Social Sciences from the University of Kent beat 23 other hopefuls to clinch the crown.
The Grand Finale took place at the Royal Regency Hall, London on Saturday, the 8th of October 2016.
She was crowned by her predecessor, Susana Owono of Equatorial Guinea and will now be the ambassador for the Queens 4 A Reason Charity.
Sarah is an advocate for Child Education for underprivileged children and promises to dedicate her reign to this cause.
On the October 15, 2016, Sarah will be skydiving from 12,000 ft in aid of the Women’s Aid Charity to Support Women victims of Domestic Violence.
This dive will involve a 1-minute freefall before parachuting to the drop zone. She has already raised £610 for this cause.
One of the notable Nigerian faces at the Grand Finale was Former Nigerian footballer, Jay Jay Okocha.
