Aproko247 has been informed that the Nigerian movie industry fondly called Nollywood has again been thrown into mourning.
It was whispered to us that a top filmmaker in the industry has breathed his last on Saturday, October 22, 2016, which coincidentally is his birthday.
As you read this piece, prolific movie producer in Nollywood, Prince Afam Chiazor, has been reported dead.
Afam, as he was fondly called in the industry, was the national president of Cinematographer Society of Nigeria, CSN.
His demise has been described as shocking by his colleagues.
National president of Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Ibinabo Fiberesima, while commenting on Afam’s death, described the deceased as humble.
“You were humility personified…….My heart bleeds…still in shock at the news of your death,” Ibinabo said.
One of Afam’s colleagues, Milla Ola, who is a cinematographer, said “Nollywood just lost another great filmmaker.”
“He was an epitome of humility! That’s all I can say about this distinguished member of the Nollywood family who died on his birthday this morning. Good night and rest in peace,” Fidelis Duker wrote about him.
