On Sunday, December 11, 2016, ‘Interwoven’ was staged at the 2000-seater UNILAG Main Auditorium and was overwhelmingly received.
The play produced by Metamorforces, a group whose founders include Deyemi Okanlawon, was written and directed by Gbenga Kuponiyi and featured a host of stellar thespians amongst who are Deyemi Okanlawon, Juliana Olayode (Toyo Baby), Gabriel Akinfesola, Abiodun Mabadeje and Hameed Lawal.
‘Interwoven’ is a unique nativity story with an African twist that tells the story of a young, naive girl who falls mysteriously pregnant following a prophecy from an unlikely source. Deyemi’s 5-month old son Demide played the role of baby Jesus.
