Lagos Big Boy Sherfex Endorses Adeyanju For Maritime Uniuon’s Top Job


The unit chairman of dockworkers in sea-port, Apapa, Alhaji Sharafa Oguntoyinbo popularly called Sherfex has endorsed Alhaji Adewale Adeyanju as the next president general of Maritime Union of Nigeria.

The union combines Maritime, Dockworkers, Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) and Shipping Companies.

Sherfex, who spoke to our correspondent at his Ilasa office on the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, said the reason for endorsing Adeyanju was because of his ability to take the body to higher heights.

He said further that Alhaji Adeyanju is tested, trusted and reliable going by his antecedent and current performance as the Chairman of Dockworkers.

According to him, Adeyanju has introduced insurance to members of the union, making it possible for any member of the association to be compensated whenever the unexpected happens while on duty.

He said Adeyanka has also pushed for turning casual workers to full staff.

Sherfex, who owns Sherfex Filling Station, noted that with Adeyanju in position of authority, things will continue to be better for the union members.

He then urged the Maritime Union of Nigeria to vote for Adeyanju in March 2017, when the election is expected to hold.
