For his selfless and meritorious service, Amo Group of companies, the second largest integrated poultry business in Nigeria, has commended the efforts of their immediate past Group Head, Policy and Strategy, Pastor Francis Toromade.
Furthermore, the firm has and named one of its feed mills after him and would now be known as Francis Toromade Feed Mill.
Speaking during a send-forth party organized for him by the company, the Group Managing Director of Amo Group, Dr Ayoola Oduntan, commended Toromade for his efforts towards the development of the company, noting that the history of Amo Group will not be complete without the mention of his immense contributions.
“I will like to thank Pastor Francis Toromade for his commendable service at Amo Group. His contributions towards the development of the company cannot be overemphasized. As a matter of fact, the history of our company will not be complete without the mention of his effort.”
“He will be missed, and I wish him good success in his future plans,” he said.
Many members of staff of Amo Group who spoke at the occasion all described Pastor Toromade as a role model, hardworking, energetic, good family man with a pleasant personality.
In his response, Pastor Toromode who attended the event with his family showed appreciation to the GMD for giving him the opportunity to serve in the company. He also revealed that his decision to retire was borne out of divine instruction.
“I wish to thank everyone for the love shown to me and my family. God called me to work with Dr Ayoola Oduntan and when the time to leave came, God told me to move on”
“I am most especially grateful for the honour of naming the company’s feed mill after me. It goes a long way to show that my hard-work and contributions did not go unnoticed.”
He affirmed that he is only retiring to refire while adding that he is still so full of energy and that his best years are still to come.
Toromade who recently retired from the company after spending many years as a top management staff served as General Manager, Sales and Marketing, for thirteen years at Amo Byng Nig. Ltd where he led business strategy development and grew sales revenue by more than 1,400%, expanded the business credit facilities, and distribution network across Nigeria and West Africa. He was General Manager, Sales and Marketing at Tuns Int’l holdings, where he led marketing and helped to boost distribution network and sales volume by more than 50% in one year. He was Marketing Consultant for the Poultry Association of Nigeria and the Lagos All Farmers Association where he advised the Associations on value chain development, and developing strategies for market expansion, distribution networks, and growing sales revenue.
He recently retired as Group Head, Policy and Strategy at Amo Byng Nig. Ltd; Amo Farm Sieberer Hatchery Ltd and Diversay Solutions Ltd where he advised the Managing Director and Executive Management Team on Strategic Marketing, Sales Development, Product and Business development and Financial Management.
