Women of Rubies Clocks 3 In Grand Style

Foremost platform for celebrating outstanding women in the society, Women of Rubies, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, marked its 3rd anniversary.

The platform, since its inception through the Newspaper column and award winning blog, www.womenofrubies.com, has showcased over 300 exceptional Women in Nigeria and globally.

Women of Rubies (WOR) is a capacity building and inspirational platform focused on celebrating the giant strides of women in the society. One of it’s brilliant traits is that it shares peculiar tales of the everyday woman.

From the woman who sells bread in your neighborhood to the sophisticated amazon who is the CEO of a company, Women of Rubies tells familiar stories from a human interest point of a view.

Initiator of the platform, Esther Ijewere, stated that, “We believe that women are nurturers by nature, and when these women nurture their God-given abilities, the world is better for it. I just want to give thanks to God for the opportunity to serve and do his work. Three years of connecting with women from different sector of the society, every story I have been privileged to share has touched a nerve in me. I believe One woman can make a difference but together we can change the world!”

Some of the women who have been featured on the platform also celebrated with them online;

“Women of Rubies is doing such an unparalleled and amazing job of celebrating and showcasing relatively obscure women Who are impacting the world in their own corner. Congratulations on WOR’s 3rd year anniversary,” said Sola Adesakin, CEO Smart Stewards.

Also, 22 year old Tobby Lordwilliams, who runs the fastest growing volunteering network, Girlhub Africa, stated that, “I joined Women of Rubies as a Volunteer in 2017, and my level of exposure, professional network and career/personal growth has been increased. I now understand the importance of celebrating other women and their achievements. WOR is a SafeSpace.”
