Police in Ogun State Command have apprehended a 42-year-old website designer named Abiodun Amosun.
Amosun was arrested at his family’s house at the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State, while his wife was away in Lagos.
The suspect landed into trouble after his 16-year-old housemaid accused him of forcing his way into her on October 25, 2018.
This followed the complaint lodged at Ibara Police Division by the Benue State born victim who was accompanied to the station by a member of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR).
The victim told the police that the suspect forcefully dragged her into his bedroom and molested her sexually.
According to the teenager, her boss beat her up for making noise during the unconsented love making before sending her out of the house.
“On interrogation, the suspect initially denied the allegation, but when confronted with the blood stained bedsheet in his bedroom, he admitted to the commission of the offence.
“The victim, who claimed to be a virgin before the incident, has been taken to General Hospital for medical attention and the medical report has confirmed that victim was actually sexually abused,” spokesperson of the Ogun Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed.
It was gathered that Amosun was arrested after a member of the CDHR saw her and took her to the police station to report the case.
