Nigeria Police Commences Recruitment Screening on Monday

The Nigeria Police has announced the physical and credential screening of new Constables into the force. A statement from the police said the exercise is to commence from Monday 24th August, 2020 to 6th September, 2020.

This is in continuation of the on-going recruitment process where all candidates who successfully completed the online recruitment exercise are to proceed for the physical and credential screening across the federation.

In the statement released by DCP Frank Mba, Nigeria Force Public Relation Officer, the applicants are to appear at the various screening venues in their clean white T-shirts and shorts with the following mandatory basic requirements:

  1. National Identity Number (NIM);
  2. Original and duplicate copies of credentials – O’ Level Result(s), Certificate of Origin and Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age – neatly arranged in two white flat files with recent passport photographs attached;
  • Printout of application submission confirmation page
  1. Duly completed Guarantor’s form

It stated that any candidate who fails to present the above documents, will not be considered for the screening.

According the statement, the screening exercise will take place at designated locations within each State/FCT and carried out in strict compliance with the COVID–19 prevention protocols.

Detailed and specific guidelines for the state will be announced by the Police Public Relations Officers in the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, the statement said.

The Inspector General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, reiterated that the recruitment exercise is absolutely free of charge and without any pecuniary obligation. He assured that the process will be conducted in the best tradition of transparency and accountability.

The IGP also advised the applicants to be wary of online impostors, scammers and other criminal elements who might want to take advantage of the recruitment process to dupe innocent applicants. However, he warned anyone found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted.
