The federal government of Nigeria has announced that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) would open its orientation camp on November 10, 2020
The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare disclosed this in a tweet on Thursday.
He said: “The Resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corpers has been approved and opens on November 10th 2020. Full COVID-19 Protocols will be enforced.”
Sequel to the announcement by the Minister, the management of NYSC also acknowledged the reopening and commencement of programmes across the 37 Orientation camps of the Scheme nationwide on Tuesday, 10th November, 2020.
The management, however, urged all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to adhere strictly to COVID-19 protocols while in camp, in order to have a hitch free Orientation Course.
The reopening comes after seven months of closure since March 2020 due to the global outbreak of the coronavirus.
