Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa Leaves Saudi Club

Ahmed Musa has left Al Nassr after spending two years with the eight-time Saudi Professional League champions.

The 28 years old departure was announced on the club’s verified Twitter handle as they wished him the very best in his future endeavours.

“Thank you Nigerian falcon, wishing you all the best in the future!Ahmedmusa718,” the club tweeted.

The Super Eagles captain moved to Al Nassr from Leicester City on a four-year deal after the 2018 World Cup.

Musa was a part of the Al-Nassr squad that won the Saudi Premier League and Saudi Super Cup, both in 2019.  He has made 58 appearances, scored 11 goals and made 14 assists following his spell at the club.

Musa, who is yet to announce his next destination, recently surpassed John Obi Mikel as the third most-capped Super Eagles player having featured in the international friendlies against Algeria and Tunisia, and in the process got his 93rd Nigerian cap.
