The Lagos State Judicial panel on Friday found five bullet shell casings at the scene of the alleged Oct. 20 shootings of #EndSARS protesters by officers of the Nigerian Army.
This is coming as both the Nigeria Army and the Police have rejected Amnesty’s allegation of shooting at the Lekki tollgate.
The nine-man Judicial Panel headed by Justice Doris Okuwobi (Rtd) set up to investigate accusations of police brutality visited the site as part of their investigation to unravel the truth.
They were shown round the facilities by the Managing Director of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) who said that despite rumours of their removal, CCTV cameras are mounted in position.
He, however, noted that though the footage of the happenings of October 20 had been captured by the CCTV, it is currently not working due to damage caused by hoodlums during the destruction on October 21.
