Several people have been reportedly trapped under the rubble of a 21-storey building that collapsed on Monday afternoon at Musikiu Junction by Gerard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
The building was said to be under construction when it suddenly collapsed on construction workers.
Confirming the sad incident, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said in a statement that its men and other emergency responders are at the scene to begin Search and Rescue operations
“The Hon. Commissioner for Special Duties & Intergovernmental Relations, its counterpart, Hon. Comm for Physical Planning and DG LASEMA are fully on ground.
“All first responders are at the scene while the heavy duty equipment and life detection equipment have been dispatched”
