Amosun Swears-In 6 New Aides

Governor Ibikunle Amosun has sworn-in six new aides barely 24 hours after swearing four Special Advisers. The new aides were sworn-in on Friday; five Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and one Consultant.

The appointees are the State Secretary of APC, Toyin Ayebusuwa, Moshood Akinyele (Americo), Ishiaku Abass, Remi Onasanya, Alhaja Omotunde Rasida Yusuf and Otunba Gbeleyi, who was a former deputy Speaker in the state, and was sworn-in as a Consultant to the Governor.

On Thursday, four aides were sworn in by the governor with a charge to them to see their appointment as a call to service and not to amass ill gotten wealth.

Those sworn in were the former Deputy Speaker, Tola Banjo, who is now the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Duties.

Others are the APC House of Representatives candidate in the last election for Ogun Waterside/Ijebu North/ Ijebu East, Biyi Ismail, who is the SA/ Director General, Land Matters.

Also sworn in Thursday were Mrs Hafsat Abiola-Costello, former SA on MDGs to Amosun between 2011-2015 and the daughter of the acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola, and Mr Babafemi Adenuga sworn in as the SA on Health.

The newly appointed aides were briefed on Friday morning by the governor on the expectations from them and how to comport and relate with the people irrespective of their political, religious or ethnic leanings.

The briefing was held at the conference room of the Governor at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
