Dates for the governorship elections in Edo and Ondo States have now been released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
According to the electoral umpire, while the gubernatorial poll in Edo State is slated for September 10, 2016, that of Ondo State will take place on November 26, 2016.
Both present governors of the states have spent eight years each, which make up of two terms of four years each.
With the release of dates for the process of electing new chief executive officers for the two states, all is now set for the selection of candidates for the polls as well as electioneering campaigns.
