Aproko247 has learnt that the Ekiti State House of Assembly member earlier reported to have died in the custody of the Department of State Service, is alive.
Moments ago, it was reported in a section of the online media that Afolabi Akanni, a member of Ekiti Assembly in the detention of the country’s secret police, was dead.
However, we have gathered that Akanni is alive, but sick.
In a tweet on its verified Twitter handle, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, disclosed that Akanni is alive and not dead.
“Afolabi Akanni, the Ekiti state assembly lawmaker in DSS custody is alive but sick,” the tweet by PDP Nigeria reads.
