CCT: Saraki Left Stranded For Almost 2 Hours

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, was kept waiting on Tuesday afternoon at the resumption of his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT.

Aproko247 gathered that Chairman of the CCT, Justice Danladi Umar, resumed late today, after he gave Saraki’s team two hours, from 10am to 12noon, to verify documents with banks.

However, when it was 12noon, the Judge was nowhere to be found and the Senate President, along with other Senators that accompanied him, were kept waiting.

This forced proceedings to commence behind the resumption time.

It was gathered that Justice Umar arrived the tribunal about 1hour 40mins behind the scheduled time.

However, the judge did not tender apologies for being late to the proceedings and the lead prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) began roll call of counsels with him.

The Senate President is before the tribunal on allegation of not declaring his complete assets while he was the governor of Kwara State.
