Kwara APC Chairman Regains Freedom

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara State, Ishola Balogun Fulani, who was abducted by some gunmen few days ago, has been released.

This news was confirmed by the state governor, Ahmed Abdulfatah, through his official Twitter handle on Saturday evening.

The governor did not however disclose if any ransom was paid to secure the release of his party chairman in the state.

The kidnappers had asked for N50 million to free Fulani and his secretary, Bode Adekanye, who was also abducted few days ago.

“I have just been informed that the Kwara APC Chairman and the scribe have been released unharmed by their captors,” the governor said.

He said further that, “While I rejoice with their families, friends and party members, I hold that we must work harder to end the spate of kidnapping.”
