Former President Goodluck Jonathan, has returned to the country after he was reported to have gone to Cote d’Ivoire on self exile.
It was reported some days ago by ThisDay that the former Nigerian leader ran to the West African country to evade arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for fraud allegedly committed during his tenure.
He vehemently dismissed the report when he called the newspaper, informing them that he was in Cote d’Ivoire to rest. He promised to return to Nigeria after the rest.
On Wednesday, June 1, 2016, a Twitter user shared a picture of Jonathan being welcomed at the airport.
