Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, stormed the residence of former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.
During the operation, the anti money laundering agency reportedly carted away with some properties found in the house.
It was gathered that some of the items taken away from the Ikoyi, Lagos house of Obanikoro by the EFCC included vehicles and few documents.
It is not clear why Obanikoro’s residence was ransacked by the EFCC, but it might be connected to investigation into alleged money laundering by the former Minister.
