The Lagos State Police Command has found the vehicle snatched from popular actor, Fred Amata, in Lagos barely two weeks ago by some hoodlums.
It would be recalled that on Saturday, June 25, 2016, some armed robbers snatched the actor’s Lexus SUV at gunpoint in front of his residence in Lagos.
He was bundled into the vehicle, where all his personal belongings including his shoes were taken away from him and then later dropped off on Fadeyi Bridge along the popular Ikorodu Road. The incident reportedly occurred at about 2am.
However, after a manhunt for the robbers, his car has now been recoevered by the police.
It was learnt that Amata’s stolen vehicle was recovered at Ejigbo, Lagos.
The elated actor, who is presently the President of Directors Guild of Nigeria, DGN, has expressed his gratitude to Lagos Police Commission, Fatai Owoseni; the police spokesperson in the state, Dolapo Badmus; as well as the IPO, Idowu “for doing marvellous job.”
