Frenchman, Paul Le Guen, has turned down his appointment by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
Le Guen was announced as the new coach of the Nigerian senior football national team on Monday, but the latest reaching us indicates that the former French international will not honour the job.
Top French journalist, Herve Penot, disclosed via his verified Twitter handle, @hpenot_lequipe, in French, that the tactician will not go to Nigeria since his conditions were not met by the NFF.
Penot posted on Twitter, “Paul le Guen will not go to Nigeria. Conditions not met to be coach. Nothing to do with the selection.”
But as at 3:47pm on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, his Wikipedia page still indicates that he is the current coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
