According to reports, telecommunications giant, MTN Nigeria, has suspended the contracts of some of its brand ambassadors.
It was learnt that the company is reluctant to renew contracts of some of its brand ambassadors, leaving few on their list.
Reports say MTN Nigeria decided to take the action because of the fine it is paying to the Federal Government for not disconnecting lines of its subscribers not registered as required.
It was reported that apart from Iyanya, Praiz, Chidinma, Falz, Skales, Tekno, Nkem Owoh and their regional ambassadors, everyone other ambassadors have been suspended by MTN Nigeria.
However, some believe MTN Nigeria suspended the brand ambassadors because of the current economic downturn in Nigeria.
