Prophetess Turns Church Into Brothel In Ogun

Police in Ogun State have apprehended a woman, who claimed to be a prophetess for running a pr0stitution ring.

The suspect, identified as Olupinla Idowu, is the founder of a Cherubim and Seraphim church at 52 Okesina Street, Ijoko area of Ota, Ogun State.

She was said to be using her just as a brothel and charges the girls in her custody N500 when they bring men in for a bout of $ex.

The prophetess, 54, was paraded before newsmen at Eleweran police headquarters in Ogun State. She reportedly specializes in contracting male customers for the girls aged between 14 and 16. The girls live in the church premises with the woman whom they call ‘mama’.

She was arrested after three girls were rescued by police officers.

One of the victims, a 16-year-old girl confessed that the woman used them to make money. She said

“We are about 10 with Mama, and she always arrange men for us to have $ex, She created apartment within the church premises, where the men sleep with us. We charge N500 per $ex in which Mama will collect N300 and give us N200.”

The girl also confessed that ab0rtions were carried out on the church premises, admitting that she herself has had five abortions.

She revealed that each girl made an average N1500 per day inclusive of Olupinla’s share.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu, told newsmen that the girls have been taken to a hospital for check-ups and treatment and the woman will be charged to court on child abuse and human trafficking offenses.
