Information reaching Aproko247 from Delta State has it that Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Victor Ochei, has resigned.
“The Speaker (Delta State House of Assembly) has resigned from office and has handed over to his Deputy (Hon Okonta),” a source in the state government informed our reporter on Sunday evening.
Our source also added that the former Speaker had sensed that his colleagues would impeach him from office this week when the House sits, and quickly tendered his resignation letter.
Further information reaching us shows that the Speaker and the state governor, Emmanuel Uduagahan are allegedly not on the same page.
