World’s biggest Afrobeats Fest, the One Africa Music Fest, is making a return to New York, taking over Brooklyn’s AmpiTheater on Saturday, August 19, 2017.
Fresh off the back of its epic sold out concert at London’s prestigious SSE Wembley Arena in May 2017 headlined by the likes of Davido, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Alikaba, Banky W and P-Square; and building on its two sold out show in New York’s Barclays Centre and Houston’s Toyota Center last year, One Africa Music Fest, is going back to where it all started, New York City.
Already confirmed to be headlining One Africa Music Fest New York include Davido, Tekno, P-Square, Timaya, Cassper Nyovest and Victoria Kimani.
Also confirmed are DJ Maphorisa, Shatta Wale, Flavour N’Abania, with more headline artistes to be announced.
Now widely regarded as the seminal concert platform to showcase African music and culture to mainstream and diaspora audiences across the world, One Africa Music Fest is not resting on its laurels to unite and showcase Africa like never been seen or done before.
Speaking about bringing One Africa Music Fest back to New York, concert organiser, Paul O, CEO of Upfront and Personal Global Management Consultants (UPGMC), said, “the concert not only showcases the best and biggest African stars but also provides an opportunity to unite Africans and non-Africans in great numbers to celebrate our culture, change perceptions, encourage unity and build a global conglomerate to push our agenda.”
