Sharing Formula Tears Obasa, Tunde Braimoh Apart?

When the roll call of the most peace state houses of assembly is called, Lagos will definitely not struggle to be among the top five.

This is because the Lagos State House of Assembly has enjoyed a relative peace since the period of Olorunnimbe Mamora to Adeyemi Ikuforiji and then Mudashiru Obasa, the present leader of the House.

However, that peace may currently be under threat if gist reaching us is anything to take serious at all.

There are rumours that Obasa and a member of the House, Tunde Braimoh, are at war with each other and may tear the House apart.

Braimoh is the former Chairman of Kosefe Local Government and is in the state legislative arm representing Kosofe Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly. He is presently Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy, Publicity and Security.

According to the gist being whispered to Aproko247, the lawmaker, a trained lawyer and businessman, is having serious issued with the Speaker on how to share slots and deals allotted to legislative chamber.

Those from the Speaker’s camp alleged Braimoh of high-headedness, especially since finding his way into the hallowed chamber.

“Braimoh has quickly forgotten how we helped his political career, when it was almost dead and gave him prominence. His shoulders have been up high since he became a lawmaker. We are waiting to clip his wings and make him realise that you don’t bite the fingers that fed you,” a source in the Speaker’s camp told us.

Reacting to the issue, a close associate of Braimoh, who asked not to be named, stated that, “You see, 2019 is fast approaching and those scared of Braimoh’s rising political profile are devising ways to rubbish his good reputable.

“I can tell you that Braimoh has no issue with the Speaker. Even if there is one, twins have misunderstandings and settle them amicably. But I can assure you that Tunde (Braimoh) is unshaken.”

This is not the first time there is a rumoured trouble between the Speaker and his colleague. Sometimes ago, it was reported that members of the House were not happy with Wasiu Eshinlokun, who contested the position of the Speaker with Obasa.
