The ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, does not stand as a threat to it in any way. This declaration was made by the PDP on Saturday.
According to the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, the opposition party poses “no threat at all” to the ruling party.
Speaking via a statement, Metuh boasted that the PDP “remains the only party that have continued to be committed to the national interest, as well as providing level playing ground for all Nigerians to achieve their aspirations irrespective of religious, ethnic and gender considerations.”
He said the APC must position itself as a party that is ready to put interest of the nation first before any other thing.
APC elected some executives on Friday at their National Convention held at the Eagle Square in Abuja. Former governor of Edo State, John Oyegun, emerged as the National Chairman.
