One of Nollywood finest actors, Ernest Asuzu, known for his gangster act in movies in the 90’s is dead.
A report from the president of the Actors guild of Nigeria Emeka Rollas, who confirmed his death, said he slumped on Tuesday evening but died on his way to the hospital.
Ernest Asuzu was a popular act in Nollywood until his career suffered a setback after he came down with a stroke which affected his speech and kept him bedridden for three years.
The actor, who in an interview said music was his first love before acting, released a music album in November 2020 titled “The truth” after his recovery to show appreciation for what God has done in his life.
He announced that Jeremiah Funfeyin of Mercyland Deliverance Ministry healed him of the stroke.
Ernest hails from Imo state but lived his life in Lagos state. It is learnt that his remains are on the way to the east for funeral rites.
