After many controversies surrounding which club England’s captain, Harry Kane, will be playing for in the 2021/2022 season, the striker has finally revealed he will be staying at Tottenham this season.
Kane, who came off the bench in Saturday’s 1-0 league win at Wolves in his first appearance, says he is fully focused on helping the team achieve success.
The England captain whose contract at Spurs runs to 2024 had in May revealed his intention of wanting to leave Spurs after the club failed to win a trophy or even finished in the top four based on a gentleman’s agreement with Chairman Daniel Levy
Kane, 28, had drawn strong interest from Manchester City who in June made an offer worth £100 million for the striker but were unable to come close to an agreement with Spurs.
In a post on his social handle, Kane said: “It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.
“I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success.”
