The former Governor of Lagos and Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has donated the sum of N50 Million to the Kaduna State Government for the rehabilitation of the Victims of the Terrorists Attack on the Abuja-Kaduna Passenger Train.
Tinubu, who was accompanied by former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, arrived Kaduna to sympathize with the government and people of the state over the recent attacks by terrorist which have left several people killed, others injured and a yet unknown number kidnapped.
He was welcomed at the Sir, Kashim Ibrahim house by Governor Nasir Elrufai, Senators and other senior officials of the Kaduna state Government.
Tinubu described the train attack as a national disaster.
According to him everybody should be concerned about the attacks going on in Kaduna state which have claimed hundreds of lives and properties in recent times.
He added that killings by bandits is no longer acceptable and must stop.
Tinubu urged Governor El-Rufai not to be deterred by the unfortunate incidents but to continue delivering good governance
He also appealed to well-to-do Nigerians to support the Kaduna state government in addressing the humanitarian crises created by bandits’ attacks.
The visit is coming seven days after armed terrorists ambushed a Kaduna bound train killing eight people and Kidnapping many more.
