Enugu Assembly Begins Impeachment Of Dep Gov

The impeachment proceeding against the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Sunday Onyebuchi, has formally started. The Enugu State House of Assembly has served the Deputy Governor with the impeachment notice.

This was given to Onyebuchi by the Clerk of the Assembly, Christopher Chukwurah.

Twenty-two of the 24 lawmakers in the Assembly, signed the notice at a plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Eugene Odoh.

The six-page document was sponsored by the House leader, Udeh Okoye, and was read and adopted by the House.

Only two members did not sign the notice, one of which is Mathias Ekweremadu, younger brother of the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
