Aproko247 has learnt that a journalist with the Lagos-based Television Continental, TVC, has been arrested in Osun State. The journalist, Ayodeji Morakinyo, is the Ondo State correspondent of the TV station.
He was picked by some heavily armed policemen in Oshogbo on Thursday afternoon after covering a news rally in the town.
A journalist in Osun informed our reporter on Thursday afternoon that Morakinyo was whisked away by the officers and efforts to reach him have been futile.
“We have tried to get in touch with him, but his phone numbers are all switched off. The police did not tell us what Morakinyo has done to warrant the arrest. Situation is tense here over the development,” our source said.
